The Nourish Edit

The shelf we'd build in your kitchen.

Every in-home visit ends with the same handful of questions. Which olive oil. Which jars. Which omega-3 is actually worth the money. Which weaning spoon doesn't end up on the floor.

So this is the answer, written down — the food, kitchen and wellbeing products our practitioners genuinely put on clients' shopping lists, with the reason we recommend each one. No trend pieces, no powders promising things food already does.

How we choose

Five tests, every time

A product has to survive all five before it goes on this page. Most don't.

  1. 01

We'd put it in a written plan

The simplest test there is. If it wouldn't make it into a client's recommendations after an in-home visit, it doesn't make it here either.

  2. 02

    It earns its price

Premium has to mean something — a better raw ingredient, a process that changes the nutrition, or a piece of kit that lasts fifteen years instead of two. Not nicer packaging.

  3. 03

    Food first, always

We lead with the larder. Supplements appear only where UK diets are genuinely and predictably short — and we say plainly when something needs a practitioner's input first.

  4. 04

    It survives a real week

A Tuesday with a teething baby, a late meeting and nothing defrosted. If a product only works on a calm Sunday, it isn't useful.

  5. 05

    You can actually buy it

A list that needs orders from ten different websites is a list nobody finishes. So wherever there's a version worth having in Ocado, Waitrose or M&S, that's the one we send you to — it goes in the weekly shop with everything else. Small producers appear when they're genuinely better, not to look interesting.

Three we'd buy first

If you only change three things this month, change these. They're the swaps that shift the most, for the least effort.

The full edit

Everything on the shelf

Browse the lot, or narrow it to the part of the kitchen you're working on. Prices shown as bands rather than figures — retailers change them constantly, and we'd rather send you to the current one than quote you a stale number.

Rather not guess

A list is useful. A kitchen that runs itself is better.

This page is the shortcut. The longer version is one of our practitioners standing in your kitchen, opening your actual cupboards, and working out which of these you need and which you absolutely don't.

Most households need about a third of what's on this page. The Pantry Reset works out which third — then sets the shelves up so the plan runs without you thinking about it.

The Edit, monthly

What changed on the shelf

One email a month. What we've added, what we've quietly dropped and why, and the one seasonal thing worth putting in the trolley this month.

The small print, in plain English

Affiliate links

Links marked as shopping links on this page may be affiliate links, including through the Amazon EU Associates Programme and other retailer affiliate schemes. If you buy something after following one, we may earn a commission from the retailer. You pay exactly the same price either way, and we receive nothing if you don't buy. Where a product has no affiliate programme, the link is simply a link — we've included it because it belongs on the list.

This isn't medical advice

Everything here is general information from a nutrition and wellness practice, not personalised clinical advice. Supplements in particular are not a substitute for food, and some interact with medication or aren't suitable in pregnancy. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescribed medication or managing a diagnosed condition, speak to your GP, midwife or a registered practitioner before starting anything new. If a product on this page needs that conversation first, we've said so on the card.

Prices and availability

We show price bands rather than figures because retailers change prices constantly and we won't quote you a number that's already out of date. Bands are a rough guide only — check the retailer for the current price, size and availability before you buy.

Brand relationships

We don't accept payment for inclusion on this page, and no brand has editorial input into what we write about it. Products are removed when they stop being the best answer, reformulate, or go out of stock long-term — and we say so in that month's Edit rather than quietly deleting them.
